Q1: How can I know the GPS unit is receiving the signal?
A:
If the GPS green LED is blinking, that means the GPS is working and receiving the signal.
It will become steady on when fixed the satellites.

Q2: I have set up the navigation software, but GPS cannot fix at all even though I saw the LED of GB-621 is constantly on.
A:
Please make sure you place GPS outdoor without any obstruction as the fact that GPS cannot fix position indoor. Please note that GPS cannot fix position in dashboard either if your window is tinted as the tinted window will block the satellite signals.

Q3: I have GB-621 but it doesn't work with my HP iPAQ H6430 and tomtom navigator5. Bluetooth connection seems to be ok but tomtom doesn't find GPS. Can you tell me step by step the right way to configure tomtom 5 and GB-621 please?
A:
1.Select "Change preference" in the option menu
2.Select "Show GPS status" in the preference menu
3.Tap the "Configure" button to specify your GPS hardware
4.Select "Other Cable NMEA GPS" (even though you are using a Bluetooth GPS receiver)
5.Select baud rate 4800
6.Select again the outbound Bluetooth port of your PDA
7.The black/yellow icon in the right top corner should now be spinning, indicating that the Pocket PC communicates wit the GPS receiver

Q4: How can I replace the battery for GB-621 as it is not removable?
A:
So far, we don't suggest user change the battery since it has to be replaced from our end. You might have concern on replacing the battery: however, we do have 1 year warranty upon purchase date. We can replace battery at no charge if it is defected.

Q5: What is the battery volume for GB-621? How much mah?
A: 120mah

Q6: What is the usage time for GB-621?
A: Continue use for 10 hours with normal situation.

Q7: What is the pin code to connect GB-621 to PDA or Laptop?
A: The pin code is 0000

Q1: Which navigator software can be used?
A:
There is no specific software that is required to use GM-611. GM-611 can work very well with any navigation software which can accept NMEA0183 output.

Q2: What do I do to place GM-611 out of my car?
A: You can directly place GM-611 on the car roof by magnet since GM-611 is water proof.

Q3: Is it possible to rung your GPS Mouse on an USB version 1.1 Port or is an USB2.0 Port necessary?
A: The GM-611 is compatible with USB Ver. 1.1 & 2.0.

Q4: How should I configure the setting of GM-611 in navigator software?
A: NMEA0183 & Baud rate 4800

Q5: I bought one GM-611 few months ago and it worked very well until this couple of days. Could you tell me what happened?
A:
1.Select correct com port & designate the baud rate at 4800
2.Open GPS & press 'Cold start". Sometime GPS have to be executed the "cold start" function to re-acquire satellites if GPS was not used either
for long distance or over long period of time

Q6: Do I need to install USB driver for GM-611?
A:
If you connect GM-611 to Laptop or PC by USB interface, you have to install the USB driver first. Please kindly download the USB Driver for Windows by using the disk inside the package.

Q7: I have installed the USB driver to my laptop but the device is not detected by my laptop. What should I do?
A:
The driver might not be installed properly, please do the following steps for evaluation:
1.Un-install and re-install the USB driver again.
2. Connect GM-621to your laptop
3. Go to "My computer -> Properties ->Hardware -> Device Manager -> COM & LPT" to see if you can see GM-621 (or USB to Serial Com Port) on the list If you are not sure which com port is GM-621 you can unplug and plug again to find out the correct port.
